ROLL CALL. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Commissioners Present: Chair Erin Jordahl Redlin, Commissioners Therese Bellinger, Marnie 12 <br />Overman, and Jessica Rengstorf 13 <br /> 14 <br />Absent: Commissioner Sarah Ksiazek 15 <br /> 16 <br />Also Present: School Board Representative Cassandra Palmer; Public Works 17 <br />Director Jay Hartman; Troy Urdahl School District; Jesse Davis City 18 <br />of Columbia Heights; Jen Kullgren Forester Hennepin County; 19 <br />GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog, and Student Liaison Aye Keita. 20 <br /> 21 <br />III. APPROVAL OF THE JUNE 10, 2019, PARKS COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Motion by Commissioner Overman, seconded by Commissioner Rengstorf, to approve the 26 <br />June 10, 2019, Parks Commission agenda. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 29 <br /> 30 <br />V. APPROVAL OF THE MARCH 4, 2019 REGULAR PARKS COMMISSION 31 <br />MEETING MINUTES. 32 <br /> 33 <br /> Motion by Commissioner Overman, seconded by Commissioner Bellinger, to approve the 34 <br />March 4, 2019, Regular Parks Commission Meeting Minutes as presented. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 37 <br /> 38 <br />VI. PRESENTATIONS. 39 <br /> 40 <br />A. School District Athletics Update. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Mr. Troy Urdahl provided an update on the School District Athletics and Central Park. This 43 <br />fall they will begin the process of increasing safety netting. The netting will replace the chain 44 <br />link fencing on Field #4. Mr. Urdahl stated the School District along with the City is using re-45 <br />use water to irrigate Central Park. Potable water will be needed at the stadium field 46 <br />concession stand. He provided an update on field usage. The current demand and usage are 47 <br />increasing and there may be a difference in the quality of the fields. The demand exceeds the 48 <br />availability under the current model. 49
