CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 19-080 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING <br />ST. ANTHONY-NEW BRIGHTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #282 IN ITS <br />GRANT REQUEST TO HENNEPIN COUNTY YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAM <br />FOR A CENTRAL PARK MULTI-USE TURF FIELD <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County, via its Youth Sports Grant Program, provides for <br />capital funds to assist local government units of Hennepin County for the <br />development of sport or recreation facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, St. Anthony-New Brighton Independent School District #282 desires to <br />continue the development of the Central Park shared by the City of St. <br />Anthony and ISD #282 by the installation of an artificial turf field for <br />multiple curricular and community uses in continuing to enhance its <br />athletic facilities to encourage and expand youth recreation opportunities; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the total cost of the project is estimated to be $1,200,000 and the amount <br />requested from Hennepin County Youth Sports Program is $300,000. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of St. Anthony City Council approves <br />Supporting the St. Anthony-New Brighton Independent School District #282 in its Grant Request <br />to Hennepin County Youth Sports Program for the installation of multiple-use athletic turf <br />capable of accommodating the continuing increase in diverse youth participants utilizing our <br />shared Central Park facilities. <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of October, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br /> _________________________________ <br /> Jerome O.
