MEMORANDUM TO: St. Anthony Planning Commission FROM: Stephen Grittman, City Planner DATE: October 3, 2019 RE: St. Anthony Village – Planning Commission Meeting – October 15, 2019 2020 Goal Setting NAC FILE: 323.01 Attached are documents related to the City’s Goal Setting process. One document is the current 2019 Goals Pyramid graphic adopted at the beginning of this past year. The second is an extract of that document, with some of the Goals relevant to the Planning Commission’s role in land use-related activities. The third document is the Implementation chapter of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan, which includes a series of implementation steps for the City to undertake. Finally, we have attached a copy of the 2019 Planning Commission Work Plan. In early January, the City Council, along with staff, Commission representatives, and other public officials will be meeting to set 2020 goals. The Planning Commission has been asked to discuss these and/or other goals that the Commission believes would be valuable to pursue in the coming year. This discussion will also serve as the basis for a work plan for the Commission and the planning department staff for the coming year. The material is being brought forward for the October meeting, with the anticipation that we will include a discussion on these topics on the November 19 Planning Commission meeting agenda. Please take time to review the material in anticipation of the November meeting. If any thoughts or questions arise between now and then, please feel free to contact staff to provide opportunity for additional research or preparation.
