12/11/2019 https://www.savmn.com/Admin/FormCenter/Submissions/Print/1556
https://www.savmn.com/Admin/FormCenter/Submissions/Print/1556 3/3
What strengths or abilities do you believe you will add to the council?
I believe my strengths of teamwork, connectedness, positivity and reflection will contribute to the effectiveness of our City
Council. I am a team player who understands that developing trust, our skills and capacity results in a higher functioning,
more responsive team. I also see the big picture and recognize the connections between the smaller pieces and how it
influences the whole. As I served with other volunteers in 2015 to raise funds for our coworker and beloved teacher with ALS
and door knocked in 2014 and 2017 to help our community learn about school referendums, we understood our purpose and
had a goal to achieve.

I am a positive leader who believes we can have high expectations for ourselves and others and learn from our mistakes. I
am a reflective, listening leader who seeks to understand and strives to ensure people can share their perspectives, feel
recognized and valued. In 2014, I led a process to engage our community and seek feedback from stakeholders to prepare
for our School District’s strategic planning sessions. Our online survey and community listening sessions resulted in
participation from over 600 residents. The community feedback helped our strategic planning committee have a broader
understanding of our strengths and areas for improvement as a School District.

In 2018, I was honored to receive the Villager of the Year award and humbled to learn 14 residents of St. Anthony wrote letters
of support for my nomination. Again, I recognize the trust I have developed over time with our community members and
families and take that responsibility seriously every day.
Are you able to prepare for and attend meetings including work session and liaison/affiliation meetings?
Yes. I will adjust my calendar as needed in order to be prepared for and attend meetings.
I swear or affirm the above to be true.
Affirmation*
I swear or affirm that: I am a St. Anthony Village resident. I am eligible to vote in Minnesota. I am or will be on
assuming office, 21 years of age or more. I will have maintained residence in the city for at least 30 days before
appointment. I have all civil rights in place or restored.
I agree.
Electronic Signature Agreement*
By checking the "I agree" box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) your application will not be signed in the
sense of a traditional paper document, 2) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature
to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 3) you may still be
required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.
Electronic Signature
Wendy M.
