2019 Strategic Plan • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />The Process | 5 <br />YEAR ROUND PROGRESSION <br />The process for goal setting actually begins well before the session in January. Throughout the year <br />elected officials and appointed staff gather community input from residents via council meetings, <br />Nite to Unite, VillageFest, Village Big Rigs, personal interactions, phone calls, letters and emails. <br />Department heads also solicit input from other staff. When we gather on that day, our consultants <br />bring a perspective from their industry and their work in other cities. Commission chairs represent <br />their fellow commission members and public, and our guests offer state and regional perspectives. <br />This collective input creates the synergy through which we establish our mission, vision, strategic <br />initiatives, goals and action steps based on best practices, demographic trends, innovation, and <br />legislative changes. As city staff follows through with the implementation of the action steps on <br />The Pyramid that is guided by our mission, vision, strategic initiatives and goals, we are already <br />gathering data for next year.
