Police Department <br />Officer Wellness <br />“Check Up From the Neck Up” <br />For the 2020 Legislative Session the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association supports <br />creation of the Law Enforcement Health and Wellness Act that will help officers and <br />agencies support funding for police officer safety, health and wellness and mental health <br />programs for PTSD. <br />Training <br />Implementation of new protocols for responding to calls for service related to sexual <br />assaults. <br />Approach and response to suicide calls. <br />Crises Intervention Team Training (CIT) –Implementation in progress. <br />Mobile Crises Response (County Level) <br />Community Case Worker follow up (NEYFS) <br />–Implemented by SAPD August 2019.
