The United States Army,
United States Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA), Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)
and the City worked together, solving the complex problem at a fraction of the cost in typical
solutions within just 18 months of discovery. The sustainable and innovative water treatment
process removes 1,4 dioxane from the environment, entirely. With funding of ten and half
million dollars from the US Army for the project, we kept residents
informed with a robust public relation strategy and are able to provide
clean, safe, drinkable water to the residents of St. Anthony Village with
minimum disruption, anxiety and cost.

More information will be presented in the Public Works Department’s
Annual Report.
