City Organizations 21 <br /> <br /> <br />§ 32.22 TERMS OF OFFICE. <br /> <br />(A) Members appointed by the City Council will serve 3-year terms. The first Parks and Environmental <br />Commissioners will be appointed as follows: <br /> <br />2 members 1-year terms <br />3 members 2-year terms <br />2 members 3-year terms <br /> <br />(B) Thereafter, members shall be appointed to 3-year terms when the original term of office expires, <br />except where a vacancy occurs in the middle of a term. In which case, the appointment will be for the <br />duration of the unexpired term. The 3 liaison members will serve at the pleasure of their respective <br />organizations and can be replaced at any time. Members of the Parks and Environmental Commission <br />shall be residents of the City of St. Anthony throughout their term of office. <br />(1993 Code, § 306.03) <br /> <br /> <br />§ 32.23 VACANCIES. <br /> <br />(A) Any of the following will cause the office of a Parks and Environmental Commission member to <br />become vacated: <br /> <br />(1) Death; <br /> <br />(2) Disability or failure to serve; <br /> <br />(3) Removal of legal resident from the city; <br /> <br />(4) Resignation in writing; <br /> <br />(5) Failure to uphold the oath of office; and/or <br /> <br />(6) Failure to attend 4 or more scheduled meetings of the Parks and Environmental Commission in a <br />calendar year, unless waived by the City Council after a written request from the Parks and <br />Environmental Commission member. <br /> <br />(B) The city will publish an open invitation to all residents interested in serving on the Parks and <br />Environmental Commission to inform the City Manager in writing of their interest and desire to be <br />interviewed for a seat on the Parks and Environmental Commission. <br />(1993 Code, §306.04) <br />
