Trends <br /> <br /> <br />SPIRITS <br /> <br />WINE <br /> <br />BEER <br /> <br />Wine sales in 2019 increased 5% over 2018 sales. <br />Box wines lead the wine category in sales with <br />20% of our sales followed by Cabernet Sauvignon <br />at 10%, Chardonnay at 7%, Pinot Noir and Italian <br />wines at 6%. Australian wines and domestic <br />Merlot sales continue to trend downward as they <br />did in 2018. <br /> <br />During 2019, Spirits category sales increased over <br />12% compared to 2018. Products within the spirits <br />category that experienced the largest sales <br />increase were: <br />Straight Whiskies 19% <br />Gin 15% <br />Vodka 12% <br />Canadian Whisky 11% <br /> <br /> <br />Beer category sales during 2019 increased 7% <br />compared to 2018. The continued popularity of <br />craft beers and specialty beers, such as seltzer beer <br />account for 57% of the total beer category sales. <br />Craft beer sales increased 10% over 2018 led by the <br />large sales increase of seltzer beer such as White <br />Claw. <br />2019 had noticeable sales increases within <br />each sales category from previous years. <br />Also, sales of products within a particular <br />category are trending upward. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
