CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 20-031 <br />RESOLUTION TO MAKE EXPENDITURES DURING A LOCAL EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of St. Anthony has declared that a local emergency is in effect; <br />WHEREAS, the city council finds that immediate action to respond to the situation is needed in <br />order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community; <br />WHEREAS, the immediate expenditure of city funds is required to respond to the emergency; <br />WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 12.37 provides that during a local emergency, the governing body of <br />a city may enter into contracts and incur obligations necessary to combat the disaster by <br />protecting the health and safety of persons and property and by providing emergency assistance <br />to the victims of the disaster without compliance with procedures, formalities and requirements <br />ordinarily prescribed by law or charter. <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager to make any and all <br />expenditures necessary to deal with the local emergency on behalf of the City of St. Anthony. <br />Adopted this 19th day of March, 2020. <br />Randy <br />ATTEST: <br />Nicole Miller, City Clerk <br />Reviewed for administration: VU <br />Mark Casey, City Manafer <br />
