City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 14, 2020 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Mayor Stille indicated this is an example of a work session where things are discussed to bring 1 <br />forth to the Council meeting to make decisions. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Mr. Casey indicated he received a letter from Mr. Tom Wersmon, 2609 Paul Avenue. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Councilmember Webster noted in this new plan, City offices would be open one additional day 6 <br />during the year. Mr. Casey indicated that was correct. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Motion by Councilmember Walker, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution 9 <br />20-058; a Resolution Modifying Holidays Observed by the City of St. Anthony. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 12 <br /> 13 <br />C. Request to Paint Mural on St. Anthony City Hall Building. 14 <br /> 15 <br />City Manager Casey reviewed the staff report with the City Council. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mayor Stille asked if the applicant would like to speak. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Ms. Semhar Solomon indicated she was going to be a senior at St. Anthony Village High School 20 <br />this fall. He thought about democracy as not be a thing 41 <br />that they have but something they do. He believed everyone in the community deserves to be 42 <br />heard and speaking justice in their hearts. Out of respect to their young voices, he is in favor of 43 <br />the proposed mural. These young people deserve a yes or no tonight and if necessary, the chance 44 <br />to proposed alternatives in the future. He urged the Council to vote in support of this mural. 45 <br /> 46 <br />6
