When: Saturday August 15 from 3pm-8pm

Where: Upper Central Parking lot or the area near the Central Park Pavilion

How will I address Covid-19?
-Everyone will have to wear masks(offered a mask by those handing them out but if they refuse
will be asked kindly to leave) vendors will be spaced out enough and required to wear masks and
gloves when distributing any food and/or beverages. We will mark the ground in line for the
vendors so that those purchasing from say vendor is spaced out.
We will encourage those that are feeling sick or have been in contact with someone who was
tested positive for covid to stay home. We will also be having hand sanitizer at every vendor spot
and entrances.

There will be vendors and performers there throughout the day.

I will have a team of volunteers to pick up trash, and clean up and take down! I don’t need any
true assistance other than the privilege of using the space and if public works would be willing to
use the blockades to block the parking lot space if we decide to use the parking lot.

What is the event?

Black businesses and Black artists have not been welcomed in White spaces, lacking the
resources for equal recognition. the Black Village Festival will be a visual representation of
what redistributing wealth, time and energy into well-deserving and long ignored work should be
like! We will be enjoying performance of STA residents and local artists from Mpls along meals,
desserts and activities for kids!

Thank you for considering this!!

11
