<br /> <br />TO: Mayor & Council <br />FROM: Charlie Yunker, Assistant to the City Manager <br />RE: City Manager Search RFP <br />DATE: August 31, 2020 <br /> <br />At its regular meeting on August 11, 2020 the Council accepted the resignation of City Manager Mark <br />Casey and asked staff send a Request for Proposals (RFP) to executive search firms. The RFP was sent <br />out firms that work in the public sector and have Minnesota experience. Those firms were: <br />• Baker Tilly <br />• David Drown and Associates <br />• GovHR <br />• Hue Life <br />• The Mercer Group <br />The due date for receipt of proposals was August 24, 2020 and proposals were received from Baker Tilly, <br />David Drown and Associates, and GovHR. <br />Each firm provided comprehensive details on their respective processes, and they are attached for your <br />review. Particulars very, but below is a brief summary: <br /> BAKER TILLY DAVID DROWN <br />AND ASSOCIATES GOVHR <br />PROJECT LEAD(S) Sharon Klumpp and <br />Patty Heminover Liza Donabauer Charlene Stevens <br />BASE FEE $23,000 $23,000 $20,000 <br />EXPECTED TIMELINE 14 Weeks 14 Weeks 12 Weeks <br />GUARANTEE 1 Year 2 Years 1 Year <br /> <br />Next steps: <br />1. Select firm based on their proposals, or request additional information and/or informational <br />meetings and review at a future worksession <br />2. Officially select firm by resolution at the next regular City Council meeting <br />3. Staff will communicate with the firms and supply any needed information to the selected firm
