City of St. Anthony <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br />August 3, 2020 <br />Present: <br />Mayor & Council <br />Randy Stille, Mayor; Bernard Walker, Councilmember; Thomas Randle, Councilmember; Wendy <br />Webster, Councilmember and Jan Jenson, Councilmember. <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Staff: <br />Mark Casey, City Manager and Charlie Yunker, Assistant to the City Manager. <br />Consultants: <br />Steve Grittman, Planner (NAC) <br />Call to Order: <br />Mayor Stille called the Work Session to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />Housing Data: <br />Council discussed types of housing data they were interested in. By consensus of the mayor and council, <br />staff was directed to bring back housing data to a future work session. <br />Dangerous Dog Ordinance: <br />Staff presented a memo from the City Attorney, state statue on regulations of dangerous dogs, <br />proposed redline of St. Anthony’s animal control chapter of the city code and examples from Roseville, <br />New Brighton, Edina, St. Louis Park and Plymouth. By consensus of the mayor and council, staff was <br />directed to bring ordinance forward at a future city council meeting including the $500 annual <br />registration fee. <br />St. Anthony Family Services Collaborative: <br />Councilmember Webster presented a proposal from the Family Services Collaborative in which the City <br />would be both a financial contributor and partner. By consensus of the mayor and council, staff was <br />directed to have the council review a final agreement prior to moving forward. <br />Masks: <br />By consensus of the mayor and council, no additional direction was provided beyond the Governor’s <br />executive order. <br />Public Safety Commission: <br />Staff presented proposed ordinance language and what the commission is and is not. By consensus of <br />the mayor and council, the commission will be on hold until a future date. <br />
