CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 1 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING 2 3 DATE AUGUST 18, 2020 4 7:00 p.m. 5 6 CALL TO ORDER. 7 8 Chairperson Westrick called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 9 10 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 11 12 Chairperson Westrick invited the Commission and the audience to join her in the Pledge of 13 Allegiance. 14 15 ROLL CALL. 16 17 Commissioners Present: Chair Westrick, Commissioners Socha, Neumann, Payne, Rude, 18 Erickson, and Morita. 19 20 Absent: None 21 22 Also Present: Student Liaison Bethlehem Beyene and City Planner Stephen 23 Grittman 24 25 I. APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST 18, 2020, PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING 26 AGENDA. 27 28 Commissioner Neumann indicated nowhere was it noted that she was unable to participate 29 verbally because she was muted by the host on the other end. She requested the document 30 reflect that as well. Commissioner Payne asked if the comment from Commissioner 31 Neumann was related to this agenda approval or the minutes from the April 21, 2020 meeting. 32 Chair Westrick thought that was a good point and should be reflected in the Approval of 33 Minutes rather than the Approval of the Agenda. 34 35 Motion by Commissioner Socha, seconded by Commissioner Erickson, to approve the August 36 18, 2020, Planning Commission agenda. 37 38 Motion passed 6-1 (Neumann abstained). 39 40 Commissioner Neumann indicated she was abstaining because she was not able to speak. 41 Chair Westrick indicated this was voting for the Agenda. Commissioner Neumann 42 indicated she was abstaining for the above reason. 43 44 II. APPROVAL OF THE APRIL 21, 2020, REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION 45 MEETING MINUTES. 46 47 Chair Westrick asked that the record of the minutes reflect that Commissioner Neumann was 48 unable to participate due to being muted. Commissioner Neumann indicated that was correct. 49
