City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 8, 2020 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Yunker reported that clean up day is Saturday, September 12th from 8:00 1 <br />am to 2:00 pm at Public Works. He noted there is a link for people to sign up online for a time 2 <br />slot which will help keep things running smoothly. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Councilmember Walker stated he is entering his third online session of a book reading called 5 <br />“Stamped”, which covers anti-racism and is primarily set for high school students and parents of 6 <br />the students. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Councilmember Webster stated she is a Liaison to the Community Services Advisory Council 9 <br />and there is a meeting on Thursday, September 10th. She indicated she is also the Liaison to the 10 <br />St. Anthony Qantas and there will be a work session on Wednesday, September 9th at 12:00 pm. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Councilmember Randle stated on Sunday, September 13th Sister Cities will be having their 13 <br />retreat. The October visit from Finland Road show has been postponed. Sports Boosters will 14 <br />have their first meeting on Wednesday, September 9th. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Councilmember Jenson stated on Wednesday, August 26th he participated in Coffee with the 17 <br />Council. On August 31st he participated with the work session meeting the Council had. 18 <br />September 3rd the Metro Cities Board of Directors met, and Metro Cities deployed an Ad hock 19 <br />Race Equity Committee and the Board set a one-year timeline and approved a detailed scope of 20 <br />work. He indicated they also finalized a new Race and Equity Policy Statement and sent that 21 <br />forward. On September 4th he attended the Ramsey County Local League of Governments Exec. 22 <br />Board meeting where they approved the financial budgets and are in the green. The Collective 23 <br />Work Force Group presented their scope of work as a long-term improvement via policy 24 <br />changes. Mental Health is the consensus issue as it affects everyone, schools, and communities. 25 <br />This plan will be presented to the larger Board of Directors meeting on Friday, September 11th. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Mayor Stille stated he attended the August 31st work session and heavy on the agenda was to get 28 <br />the process started to recruit a recruiter for the City Manager position and should be coming 29 <br />before the Council at the next meeting for voting. On September 8th he attended the Mississippi 30 <br />Water Management Organization Board meeting. 31 <br /> 32 <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Mayor Stille invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that 35 <br />are not on the regular agenda. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Hearing none, Mayor Stille moved forward with the agenda. 38 <br /> 39 <br />IX.
