PAGE | 3 OF 4 <br /> <br /> Citizens appear generally satisfied with City services based on the number of complaints <br />received, recognizing that a City's safety, civic and sound public policy for all obligations will <br />create debate and disagreement from time to time <br /> Oversees the City procurement program to ensure compliance with established policies so <br />that purchases are within approved budget parameters <br /> Policy and procedure compliance results in maintaining procurement quality and also <br />identifying when the budget parameters may need further review or modification. <br /> Performs other job-related responsibilities as apparent or directed by the Council <br /> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <br /> Developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of all department and <br />applicable City policies and procedures in order to help facilitate compliance with such <br />policies and procedures by all personnel <br /> Demonstrating by personal example the service excellence and integrity expected from all <br />staff <br /> Developing respectful and cooperative relationships with co-workers, including willing <br />assistance to newer staff so job responsibilities can be performed with confidence as quickly <br />as possible <br /> Conferring regularly with and keeping the immediate supervisor informed of all important <br />matters pertaining to those functions and job responsibilities for which accountable <br /> Representing the City in a professional manner to the general public and other outside <br />contacts / constituencies in a manner that helps maintain and enhance St. Anthony’s <br />reputation as a well-managed City <br /> <br />MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: <br /> Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration or closely related field <br /> Minimum of eight years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of <br />education and experience <br /> Previous experience in managing a local government agency <br /> Minimum of four years’ experience in a supervisory role <br />Or <br /> Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the City may find appropriate and acceptable <br /> <br />DESIRABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS: <br /> Master’s degree in Business Administration, public administration or closely related field <br /> <br /> <br />95
