ANTHONY <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 10, 2020 <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Stille called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />Mayor Stille invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL. <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Guests: <br />Mayor Stille, Councilmembers Jenson (arrived at 7:24 p.m.), Randle, Walker and <br />Webster. <br />None <br />Interim City Manager Charlie Yunker, and Finance Director Shelly Rueckert. <br />Barry Tedlund, St. Anthony Historical Society. <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />ITEMS. <br />I. APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 10, 2020 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to approve the City <br />Council Meeting Agenda of November 10, 2020. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />Councilmember Jenson arrived at the meeting at 7:24 p.m. <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS <br />A. 75t" Anniversary of St. Anthony Village <br />Mr. Barry Tedlund, St. Anthony Historical Society made a presentation to the City Council. <br />Councilmember Walker indicated in the presentation it showed two tornados came through the <br />community and he wondered if that was correct. Mr. Tedlund stated that was correct. He <br />explained in 1951 a tornado hit in the shopping center on the south end at Red Owl and then <br />again in 1984 quite a bit of the City was hit, including Apache Plaza. <br />Councilmember Walker asked if Mayor Haik was still a resident of St. Anthony. Mayor Stille <br />indicated former Mayor Haik passed away a couple of years ago. <br />Councilmember Walker thought open enrollment pretty much saved the high school and now it <br />seems like the opposite. He also thought it was a blessing for the City to have Silverwood Park. <br />
