From: JL Fleming <oxfordjet@gmail.com> Sent: Monday, December 7, 2020 4:56 PM To: planner@savmn.com Cc: Yvonne M <yvonnemeyer@hotmail.com>; Steve Dehler <stevedehler@gmail.com>; bbrozak <ebbrozak@comcast.net>; ljeremiason@outlook.com; David Eichinger <esw@usa.com> Subject: Request to Postpone Agenda Item - December 15 Planning Commission Meeting To Mr. Grittman, City Planner: I am sending this individually as an affected homeowner at the property adjacent to the subject parcel mentioned in the undated notice from the City of St Anthony regarding the "public" hearing (by Zoom) regarding 2701 Kenzie Terrace use, currently on the agenda for Tuesday, December 15 at 7:00pm: Request: Please postpone the December 15 meeting agenda item regarding the parcel at 2701 Kenzie Terrace to instead be conducted in good faith at a later time, e.g., spring or summer of 2021, when there is no health crisis and the limited participation solely by Zoom won't stifle the ability for many members of the public to provide feedback to the meeting – esp. several directly affected homeowners on property adjacent to subject parcel. See rationale for request for postponement: • I believe fewer than half of the 25-30 homes at the Kenzington Condominiums most-affected by the subject of the proposed permit use even have the technology or ability to participate in Zoom meetings. Thus, it isn't really good-faith or equitable public access to a meeting to limit participation on this important item to only those who have access to Zoom. • While there is a different and separate hearing coming up - a December 8 public hearing (tomorrow) - I note that meeting is regarding a development that, once it's built, won't have actual and known constant disturbance of the quality of life for the specific owners of the 25-30 units instantly affected here at the Kenzington by the proposed project at 2701 Kenzie Terrace - not asking for postponement of the December 8 Zoom meeting. The specifically affected homeowners at The Kenzington need to be able to have fair and full access to the meeting that is the subject of the current December 15 notification. • This item is presumably an item on a monthly meeting agenda, but it is for a meeting just 10 days before Christmas, during a pandemic, and there is undue stress on all Minnesotans and the populace in general, this seems like a rush job to fluff over the subject matter of this mailed notice - doesn't feel fair. This item could be postponed per above rationale and the rest of the meeting agenda go forward. • The applicant for this item's conditional use permit should understand that postponement of this item would be a sign of good faith dealing with residents in the community, and is not requested with an adversarial intention at all. When it's safe to conduct Planning Commission meetings in person for the public at City Hall, then let's have this meeting. Thank you.
