Mr. O’Brien explained they 2 will do a landscaping drawing on that. 3 4 Commissioner Neumann asked how long the applicant has been at the property and what type 5 of business is this. She stated she knew it was a manufacturing business but for the public 6 who do not have a dictionary and are not in manufacturing, could Mr. O’Brien say a little bit 7 more on the record about what the company does, what the company offers specifically to the 8 St. Anthony community, or if his company is just one of the City’s business consumers that is 9 here as well. Mr. O’Brien reviewed the history of his company and indicated the business 10 was started in 1988. 11 12 Commissioner Neumann asked what kind of programs the company has in St. Anthony. Mr. 13 O’Brien stated in this particular location they have hosted “Feed My Starving Children” and 14 the employees volunteer for different things and help out the community. 15 16 Motion by Commissioner Neumann, seconded by Commissioner Morita, to recommend that 17 the City Council approve the requested Conditional Use Permit for an electronic dynamic 18 display sign at 2827 Anthony Lane, with the conditions as detailed in the staff report. 19 20 Motion carried 5-0. 21 22 IV. STAFF REPORTS. 23 24 City Planner Grittman updated the Commission on the Interstate Development PUD 25 Development. He indicated prior to the City Council meeting the applicant requested to be 26 removed from the Council agenda based on some issues related to their concerns over being 27 able to affordably construct the project as anticipated. The Company is continuing to work on 28 options, and this may be back in front of the Council before Thanksgiving, if it does come 29 back. 30 31 V. OTHER BUSINESS. 32 33 City Planner Grittman stated there was a question earlier in the meeting about the disposition 34 of the Planning Commission’s consideration of Temporary Sign regulations. He indicated at 35 this time, staff is pursuing a delay in the discussion of temporary signs until the COVID 36 Pandemic has passed, and it can then be brought to the Commission for further discussion 37 after that time. 38 39 VI. COMMUNITY FORUM – NONE. 40 41 VII. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. 42 43 Commissioner Neumann stated there is a Hennepin County Commission meeting going on as 44 well and wondered if that is why the community gallery is empty. 45 46
