2
Zip Code 55418
Public Comment Lowery Grove potential Senior living development -

I am concerned with a few areas of this location, as the
enter/and exit onto 26th AVE NE, the traffic already is heavy
and there are a lot more children and young adults that are out
and about. So I am asking that this entryway be permanently
closed to vehicle traffic, and continue to only have traffic
continue to use the Lowery.

I also am not a fan of the idea that the builders came up with
having the fire trucks to use the alley for emergency calls, A
LOT of people use that alley for walking to the strip mall, and
just walking. Also the sirens would be disrupting everybody
living on the alley, this makes no sense at all. They said it was
"suggested" by the Fire Marshall, this does NOT have to be this
way. Right where the potential entry for the fire truck in the
alley are 4 families with children that play in their back yards.
And the alley is way to small width wise to have fire trucks to
have to get to the an emergency off the alley way.

Currently when we get huge rain falls the entire 4 way stop at
27th & Stinson floods out as the drains cannot handle the water
flow, when this happens my basement at the north side will
then flood out, with this said if this building is put in they will
remove the small hill that is south of my garage and water will
flow even more when it rains, and no a standing pond will not
work for this situation. Also the water table is high in the area
and if they put a underground garage many people will flood
out in NE MPLS as well as my home.

I am asking you all this question, if this building is built...does
this give the rest of the open land density to build a much larger
high rise?

The fact that this unit wanting to have a restaurant and store is
not a good idea, I am not interested in listening to constant
running of vents and hoods, and food smell having all of this is
opening up a door for more industrial buildings.

All in all I am asking that this building NOT be built where they
want it, it is way to close to the parkway and needs to be set
back and the parking lot facing Stinson is ridiculous.

I am asking that the builders either set this unit away from
Stinson, or build somewhere else as we already have a few
88
