2020 Annual Report • Liquor Operations • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

13 | Page

VI. Summary and Looking Ahead
LEGISLATIVE ISSUE
Beer, Wine and Spirits in Grocery and Convenience
Stores.
FACILITIES ASSESSMENT
Assess the infrastructure of the buildings and the
need for repairs or replacement items.

2020 IN REVIEW
2020 was an uncommon year at St. Anthony Village Wine and Spirits. Sales and profits
increased to near-record levels due to pandemic-level buying and on-sale bar and restaurant
closures and reduced capacity. Our staff worked diligently to provide a safe, secure shopping
experience for our customers while inundated with sale increases that occurred almost
immediately in March of 2020. Their dedication and
commitment to providing a safe shopping experience for
our customers, while maintaining a safe work
environment, is to be commended.
St. Anthony Village Wine and Spirits controls the sale of
alcohol while generating revenue. Without our profits, a
need to reduce budget expenditures or increase fees and
property taxes could occur. Residents benefit from our
operation which generates an economic return on equity
and capital, putting taxpayers’ dollars to productive use.
We are committed to our Mission and Vision Statements and believe they will guide us to
improve our overall operation. Our staff is committed to maintaining a unique retail
environment to drive long-term customer loyalty. We will continue to work hard by providing
excellent customer service, product selection, and competitive pricing, while providing safe,
bright and clean stores.
Thank you for your support in 2021 and beyond! We look forward to serving our customers and
residents where 100% of our profit enriches the community! Please contact me if we can assist
you with anything that would provide a better shopping experience for you, your friends and
neighbors. I can be contacted at mike.larson@savmn.com or at 612-782-3455.
