2020 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

45

In considering these items, the Commission held 5 Regular Meetings and public hearings, 3
Work-sessions (primarily addressing ordinance amendments), and 2 Joint Meetings to consider
larger project proposals with the City Council.
It was an active year for the Planning Commission, which welcomed 2 new members to the
Commission in 2020, as well as a new Student Liaison. The Commission consists of 7 regular
members who serve 3-year terms as appointed by the City Council. Members will often re-
apply to serve additional terms, although there is always an engaged list of new applicants
seeking appointment. It should be another active year in 2021, with several implementation
projects on the schedule following the adoption of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
IN SUMMARY
2020 was another productive year! The City continued its focus on maintaining and
enhancing the community while strategically investing in the future. The City made
progress on a number of projects, strengthened and developed new partnerships and
programs, and continued to enhance the services that make St. Anthony a great place to live,
to work and to do business. This report highlighted many of these outstanding efforts.
