I have both undergraduate and graduate degrees in urban and regional planning from Miami University
(Ohio) and the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs, respectively. I am AICP certified and am active in
the American Planning Association and Women's Transportation Seminar, and bring lessons learned from attending
conferences through these organizations. I have worked in the urban planning field for the last eight years, working both for
Metro Transit and in consulting, where I have served local, regional, and state governmental clients here in Minnesota as well
as across the country. While I have had the opportunity to serve communities locally and nationally from a professional
standpoint, I have never had the opportunity to serve in this capacity as a community member. I am passionate about planning
due to the impact that it has on people's lives. I would love to serve on the St. Anthony Village Planning Commission to utilize
my skills and expertise to have a positive impact on the lives of those living, working, and doing life in St. Anthony Village.
I have not previously served on a city board or commission, however, I have previous experience serving on professional
boards. Throughout graduate schools, I was the student representative and student director on the board of the Minnesota
Chapter of the American Planning Association. More recently, I have served on the board of the Minnesota Chapter of
Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS Minnesota), serving in the roles of Secretary, Programs Director, Vice President,
President, and Past President.
mm/dd/yyyy
