2020 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />21 | Page <br /> <br />- CRISIS/CONFLICT/COMMUNITY DIVERSITY TRAINING: This training shall consist of at <br />least 16 hours of continuing education credits certified by the Minnesota POST Board every <br />three- year licensing cycle. Training topics consisted of: Employee Wellness, Suicide Prevention, <br />Implicit Bias, Autism, De-Escalation, Mental Health and 72-Hour Crisis Holds. <br />- DEPARTMENT POLICY REQUIREMENTS: Training that is required by department policy or <br />by Standing Order from the Chief of Police. This classification excludes annual POST/licensing <br />requirements. Training topics consisted of, but not limited to: Emergency Medical Responder, <br />Glock Handgun Training, other Handgun/Riffle Training, and LEXIPOL Daily Training <br />Bulletins (DTB’s). DTB’s is a unique training format consisting of a scenario, analysis, <br />conclusion, and question relating to the Department Policy Manual. <br />- ANNUAL OSHA MANDATED TRAINING: Occupational Safety and Health Administration <br />(OSHA) mandated annual training to consist of: Hazardous Materials Awareness, Blood Borne <br />Pathogens, Respiratory Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, Hearing Conservation, <br />Portable Fire Extinguishers, AWAIR and Employee Right-to-Know. <br />- ELECTED TRAINING: Training that has been reviewed for content by the MN P.O.S.T. Board <br />and/or the St. Anthony P.D. command staff to ensure our officers are receiving training that <br />clearly falls in line with the learning objectives set forth by the department mission.
