CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE 2021-02 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 152 <br />BY AMENDING DEFINITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS <br />FOR ACCESSORY BUILDINGS AND USES <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE HEREBY ORDAINS AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 152, Section 152.008, Definitions, is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />ACCESSORY BUILDING. A separate building or a portion of a principal building used for <br />accessory uses. <br />- ACCESSORY BUILDING – GARAGE: An accessory building (attached or detached) <br />which is used, to store passenger automobiles and light trucks owned by occupants of the <br />principal building, and which has a door opening which is six (6) feet or greater in width. <br />- ACCESSORY BUILDING – MAJOR: A detached accessory building sheltering an <br />allowed accessory use, except for storage of motor vehicles. Accessory Buildings may <br />include garden sheds, recreational buildings such as gazebos, or other similar uses. <br />- ACCESSORY BUILDING – MINOR: A detached accessory building 200 square feet or <br />less in floor area. <br />PRINCIPAL BUILDING: The main structure on a parcel or lot which houses the Principal Use <br />of the property. <br />PRINCIPAL USE: The primary use of a parcel or lot as opposed to a subordinate “accessory” <br />use. <br />Section 3. Chapter 152, Section 152.176, Accessory Buildings, is hereby deleted in its <br />entirety. <br /> <br />Section 4. Chapter 152, Section 152.176, Accessory Buildings is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />152.176 ACCESSORY BUILDINGS. <br /> <br />(A). The following Accessory Buildings shall be allowed as permitted uses, subject to the <br />requirements of Table 152.176.(I): <br />1. R-1 and R-1A, Single Family Zones: <br />a.
