CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 21-050 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP THREE (3) FEMALE <br />CHICKENS IN AN R-1 ZONING DISTRICT AT 3631 BELDEN DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Suzanne Kaminski, <br />for permission to keep chickens on the property located at 3631 Belden Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56, Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including fowl, require approval from the City Council; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Suzanne Kaminski has submitted a written request for approval from the <br />City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve their request to keep chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Suzanne Kaminski has submitted a geographical description of the <br />placement of the enclosure that will house the chickens in relation to their property; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter <br />is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. <br />Anthony Village approves the request to keep three (3) female chickens in an R-1 Zoning District <br />at 3631 Belden Drive. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the placement of the coop must meet setback <br />requirements of at least 5 feet from the side and rear property lines. <br />APPROVED in the regular session of the City Councilay 25, 2021. <br />ATTEST: <br />Randy Stille,, jvlayor <br />Nicoll Miller, City Clerk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Chr, City Manager <br />
