City of St. Anthony <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br />May 11, 2021 <br />Present: <br />Mayor & Council <br />Randy Stille, Mayor; Bernard Walker, Councilmember; Thomas Randle, Councilmember; Wendy <br />Webster, Councilmember and Jan Jenson, Councilmember. <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Staff: <br />Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />Consultants: <br />None <br />Call to Order: <br />Mayor Stille called the Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />Ordinance prohibiting the sale of flavored tobacco: <br />Staff provided an update on neighboring cities on their discussions on this issue, as well as an update <br />from League of Minnesota Cities Intergovernmental Relations representatives, and recent FDA action. <br />Council discussed further and directed staff to proceed with a draft ordinance to prohibit the sale of <br />flavored tobacco and bring to a regular Council meeting. <br />Wild Turkey Management Plan: <br />Staff presented the draft plan and rationale behind adopting the plan as a resource for residents that <br />have significant issues with roosting turkeys. Council discussed and highlighted the importance of <br />education for residents if/when a plan is adopted, and directed staff to proceed and bring the plan to a <br />regular Council meeting. <br />Continuation of Hybrid Meetings: <br />Council decided to maintain the hybrid approach and reassess after July 1st. <br />Joint Meetings with the Commissions: <br />Planning Commission – June 15, 7:00 p.m. <br />Topics: Goal Setting recap and Lessons learned from recent CUP <br />Parks & Environmental Commission – August 30, 7:00 p.m. <br />Topics: Goal Setting recap and Bike Trails <br />Future Work Session Dates: <br />Next Work Session will be held on June 8, 2021 at 5:30 p.m.
