REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION To:Saint Anthony Village City Council From:Charlie Yunker, City Manager Date:December 14, 2021 City Council Meeting Resolution:Ratifying the 2021-2024 Agreement between the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. #186 Local Representing the Saint Anthony Police Department Licensed Employees and the City of Saint Anthony Village BACKGROUND In front of you this evening is a resolution ratifying the contract agreement with the police union. This is a three (3) year contract with the St. Anthony Police Department’s employees. Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) is set for the first two years with a reopener for wages only in the third year. Health insurance premium changes will continue to be split equally between City and employees. The union requested adjustments to the longevity scale to ensure that all positions were at a comparable level to the department’s peers. The City has worked with the union over a number of contracts to align the longevity scale with the department’s peers, and this is a continuation of that effort.
