REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br />To:Saint Anthony Village City Council <br />From:Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />Date:December 14, 2021 City Council Meeting <br />Resolution:Ratifying the 2021-2024 Agreement between the International Union of Operating Engineers <br />Local No. 49 AFL-CIO Representing the Saint Anthony Public Works Department Employees and <br />the City of Saint Anthony Village <br />BACKGROUND <br />In front of you this evening is a resolution ratifying the contract agreement with the public works union. This is a <br />three (3) year contract with the St. Anthony Public Works Department’s employees. Cost of Living Adjustment <br />(COLA) is set for the first two years with a reopener for wages only in the third year. Health insurance premium <br />changes will be split equally between City and employees. <br />The union requested additional market adjustments to ensure that all positions were at a comparable level to <br />the department’s peers. Management compared the current wages to peer cities and found the request to be <br />justified, and appropriate market adjustments were made.
