Parks and Environmental Commission Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 13, 2021 <br />Page 9 <br />1 Ms. Palmer asked if Commissioner Niemi has spoken with Mr. Urdahl. Commissioner Niemi <br />2 will speak with him. <br />3 <br />4 Chair Bellinger asked if Mr. Gumke knew anything about past discussions. Mr. Gumke stated <br />5 he has met with Jim and this has been discussed. It needs to be researched if existing fencing <br />6 could handle the wind load for safety netting. Mr. Gumke will research and bring to the next <br />7 meeting. <br />8 <br />9 VIII.COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />10 <br />11 Mr. Paul White, sent an email to Staff stating concerns he has regarding the condition of the <br />12 trail through Central Park. There are instances of water pooling. Mr. Yunker stated Staff is <br />13 aware of the quality of the trail. The drain tile has been installed and should address the root <br />14 cause of the problem along with wear on the trail. Mr. Gumke is working with WSB on an <br />15 assessment of all City parks and their conditions. This can be included in the scope of that <br />16 study. Pictures of the trail was shown to Commissioner Niemi. Mr. Gumke stated there are <br />17 issues between C2 and C3. The drain tile has helped and eliminated the pooled water. <br />18 <br />19 IX.
