1/7/2022 <br />4 <br />Fire Department <br />LEXIPOL Subscription <br />Currently we write our own Standard <br />Operating Guidelines (SOG’s) and our own <br />Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). <br />Often we also utilize other department’s <br />existing SOG’s and SOP’s. <br />We do not have a process to account for <br />people signing off on each of the existing <br />SOG’s and SOP’s. <br />There is no legal oversite on what we write <br />or create. <br />The Police Department currently uses this <br />for their department as was recommended <br />by the DOJ. <br />Lexipol would take our current SOG’s and <br />SOP’s and review and recommend changes. <br />They would provide us with new, unwritten <br />ones that we have yet to implement. <br />They have an electronic sign-off that each <br />employee signs-off on that they read and <br />understand the SOG or SOP. <br />A weekly email is sent to all staff covering a <br />specific SOG. You are required to read it and <br />then you take a quiz after. All of those results <br />are logged. <br />The cost is significant however COVID dollars <br />are able to be used.
