City of Saint Anthony Village <br />13.Minimize Impacts on Licensed Solid Waste Collectors <br />The City should give preference to the system improvement alternatives that minimize impacts on the <br />currently licensed collectors serving residents in the City. <br />14.Optimize Administrative Efficiency <br />The administrative costs to the City of Saint Anthony shall be kept to a minimum. This includes costs of <br />planning, designing, implementing, managing and overseeing any changes to the solid waste system. <br />This criterion shall also be applied to evaluating the most efficient means to manage any new solid <br />waste contracts, including any billing and payment systems. <br />15.Promote Local Economic Development <br />The City will strive to grow Saint Anthony-based on regional jobs related to and supported by the solid <br />waste management industries. The City will continue to encourage innovative start-up businesses that <br />improve local market development for reusable and recoverable resources. <br />16.Reduce Road Wear Impacts <br />The City will work closely with the solid waste and recycling industry to reduce road wear impacts of <br />heavy collection trucks. One measure of this criterion is to reduce the number of truck miles driven in <br />the City to collect solid waste materials. <br />Exhibit B: City Priorities 8-3
