Community Survey Policy <br />Purpose <br />The purpose of the community surveys is to provide feedback for St. Anthony officials and staff <br />to consider as they make decisions that impact St. Anthony residents and businesses. <br />Community Survey Benefits <br />Engage and acquire feedback from a larger, more representative pool of St. Anthony <br />citizens than other channels offer, including those who might otherwise not be willing or <br />able to participate. <br />Provide current snapshot of citizen issues and perceptions as they relate to quality of <br />life issues in St. Anthony while benchmarking against other communities. <br />Gain a better understanding of St. Anthony culture, and what makes our community <br />unique and desirable, through the eyes of our citizens. <br />Over time, gain the ability to identify trends and measure effectiveness. <br />Provides opportunity to engage with the community and build trust while <br />demonstrating responsiveness to citizens. <br />Provides measurable results that can be tracked and compared over time. <br />Does not replace current community engagement efforts but adds an additional tool for <br />council and staff to use in the decision making process. <br />Community Survey Results <br />St. Anthony City officials will use the community survey results along with other <br />community input collected all year round via in person and written correspondence, as a <br />resource in setting policy and strategic planning. <br />St. Anthony Staff will use the community survey results as a resource in strategic <br />planning and conducting operations. <br />Frequency <br />The National Community Survey (NCS) that evaluates the “livability” of St. Anthony shall <br />be conducted no more than bi-annually. <br />Other surveys may be used by staff as a resource for planning strategic operations <br />anytime.
