From: Renee Reed
Sent: Mon 4/11/2022 10:33 AM
Thank you to all for your participation and help in making the Pollinator
Garden Design Workshop a success. And also for your patience as we worked
to upload the PPT deck for your use. The PPT deck and handouts are available
on the Citizens for Sustainability
website. https://citizensforsustainability.org/pollinator-gardens/
Lona Doolan has asked that I share her email address if anybody wants to talk
more about pollinator gardens. Her email is mill0682@umn.edu
Two community groups are also available for those who might want to
connect and work with other gardeners. All are welcome to join.
St. Anthony Village Gardeners
- It's a group that maintains the garden at Trillium Park and
flowers in front of city hall and on the boulevard at the corner of
Silver Lake Road / St. Anthony Parkway.
- We meet monthly throughout the summer to weed at Trillium
and then enjoy a DQ treat afterwards
- Pre-covid we held periodic meetings about different gardening
topics, an annual flower sale fundraiser at Chenoweths, an
annual lunch at Axels, and occasionally organized garden tours
to nearby locations.
Contact: anita.davis19@gmail.com
Friends of the Parks
We maintain the demonstration pollinator gardens and bee lawn
in Trillium Park
We hope to do more work creating pollinator habitat in our
parks
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Friends-of-the-
Parks-St-Anthony-Village-MN-115119483205964/
Spring is coming!
Renee R Reed
St. Anthony Village Parks and Environmental Commission (PEC)
