MEMORANDUM <br />To:Saint Anthony Village City Council <br />From:Shelly Rueckert, Finance Director <br />Date:June 28, 2022 City Council Meeting <br />Resolution:Resolution 22-056 to approve a Tower Cell Lease Agreement between the City of Saint Anthony <br />DISH Wireless, LLC <br />OVERVIEW <br />DISH Wireless, LLC desires to install a high speed wireless internet facility on the City’s Water Tank located at <br />3109 - 33rd Avenue. The facility will be installed where Clear Wireless LLC (Sprint) was located before <br />terminating the lease with the City on February 28, 2017. <br />Staff utilized information available on recent wireless facility leases in the region to determine an appropriate <br />monthly rent and accelerator, to negotiate a lease agreement with DISH Wireless, LLC. The terms are <br />comparable to other communication leases, and acceptable for both parties, as summarized below: <br />Initial lease term:(5) five years <br />Renewal term:(4) four, (5) year automatic renewal terms <br />Rent:$2,700 per month <br />Annual rent Escalator:(2.5%) two and one-half percent <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution 22-056 approving the Communications Site Lease Agreement between <br />the City of Saint Anthony and DISH Wireless, LLC. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Agreement <br />Resolution 22-056 <br />75
