2022 Strategic Plan • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />Welcome and Session Overview | 5 <br />WELCOME AND SESSION OVERVIEW <br />The Mayor welcomed those in attendance, and stressed the importance of hearing opinions from <br />all within the confines of a safe environment. Participants were thanked for investing their energy <br />by taking time out of their daily activities, including vacation, in order to make this event a success. <br />The Mayor acknowledged that strategic planning sessions like this are not commonplace among all <br />cities, and it is a privilege to designate a time once a year for reflection, with the overarching goal <br />of doing what is best for St. Anthony. <br />WORK SESSION GOALS & EXPECTATIONS <br />• Learning, sharing and growing <br />• Introduce new ideas <br />• Build the 2022 Pyramid <br />• Retain culture of speaking honestly <br />• Continue to strengthen the team <br />ORGANIZATIONAL BUILDING BLOCKS <br />LEADERSHIP IN CITY GOVERNMENT VALUES OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />• Plan for the future <br />- Balance short and long term needs <br />• Understand roles and expectations <br />- Duties are clear and established <br />• Strive for efficiency and effectiveness <br />- Strong structure and operating models <br />• Place an emphasis on communication <br />- Internal and external <br />• Share common values <br />- Respect and consensus-driven <br />The following qualities and characteristics <br />have been identified by the group.
