Recommendations and Guidelines for Dog Park Site Selection, Design, Operations and Maintenance <br /> <br />Page 29 <br />Appendix 6: Existing Dog Park Rules <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />DOG PARK USERS <br /> <br />PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING RULES <br /> <br />1. A permit is required to use this facility. For registrations call 994-2725 City, 222- <br />6600 County. <br />2. Dogs must display current registration, license, and vaccination tags. <br />3. Users of this facility do so at their own risk. Dog behavior can be unpredictable <br />around other dogs and strangers. <br />4. Dog owners and handlers are strictly liable for any damage or injury caused by their <br />dogs. <br />5. Dog handlers must be 16 years of age or older. <br />6. Children under age 15 are not allowed in the park unless accompanied by an adult. <br />7. All dogs must remain on leash until inside the designated fenced area. <br />8. Dogs must not be left unattended. Dogs must be in view and under the voice <br />command of their handler at all times. <br />9. Dog handlers are required to clean up and dispose of their dogs’ waste. <br />10. Dogs in heat and puppies under 4 months of age are not permitted in the park. <br />11. Dogs that fight or exhibit aggressive behavior must be immediately removed from <br />the park. <br />12. No more than two dogs per handler are allowed at one time. <br />13. No smoking, food, or alcohol is allowed within the park. <br />14. Professional dog trainers shall not use the park to conduct their business. <br />15. Failure to comply with posted rules is subject to citation, expulsion, or arrest, as well <br />as dog impound. <br /> <br />Park Hours are dawn to dusk <br />(Subject to closures during required maintenance operations.) <br /> <br />Call 911 for Emergency Assistance <br />
