CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 22-063 <br />A RESOLUTION SETTING THE PRELIMINARY 2023 <br />TAX LEVY AND GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota State Law requires that the City of St. Anthony Village provide Hennepin and <br />Ramsey Counties with a proposed 2023 certified property tax levy and operating budget; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a work session and City Council meeting on July 12a' reviewing and <br />then approving the infrastructure improvement schedule and 2023 Debt Levy requirements <br />on March 221 and July 12a' respectively; and an August 8s' work session to review the <br />initial 2023 Budget and Property Tax Levy estimates. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council further reviewed the proposed 2023 property tax levy and general <br />operation budget at the August 23, 2022, City Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, the allowed Debt Levies will be reduced by $589,124 based on sufficient funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the preliminary tax levy and budget is contingent upon any revisions allowed if the current <br />law is modified; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will determine a final property tax levy and budget at the <br />Tuesday, December 13, 2022, public hearing held at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br />1) The preliminary 2023 Property Tax Levy is: <br />General Operating Levy $5,479,630 <br />Capital Improvement Project Levy $ 338,200 <br />Debt Service Levy $2,487,181 <br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority Levy $ 209,414 <br />Building Improvement Levy $ 93,000 <br />Infrastructure Levy $ 70,000 <br />Park Improvement Levy $ 10,000 <br />i. <br />2) The preliminary 2023 General Fund Operating Budget totals $8,761,562 <br />Adopted this 13a' day of September, 2022. <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />B and Walker, Mayor Pro Terr <br />Char ie Yunker, City Manager <br />
