CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 22-067 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP SIX (6) FEMALE CHICKENS IN <br />AN R-1 ZONING DISTRICT AT 2601 SAINT ANTHONY BLVD <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Michelle Pollock, for permission to keep chickens <br />on the property located at 2601 Saint Anthony Blvd; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56, Keeping of Certain <br />Animals, specifies that livestock, including fowl, require approval from the City <br />Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Michelle Pollock has submitted a written request for approval from the City <br />Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve their request to keep <br />chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Michelle Pollock has submitted a geographical description of the placement of <br />the enclosure that will house the chickens in relation to their property; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter is <br />within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br />Village approves the request to keep six (6) female chickens in an R-1 Zoning District at 2601 <br />Saint Anthony Blvd. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the placement of the coop must meet setback <br />requirements of at least 5 feet from the side and rear property lines. <br />APPROVED in the regular session of the City Counci October 11, 2022. <br />Randy S ' 1 ,Mayor <br />ATTEST: � <br />Ci Clerk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Charlie unker, City Manager <br />
