15
EXHIBIT C
Ramsey County Prevailing Wage Certification
Ramsey County policy requires payment of the prevailing wage for any projects, including construction,
demolition, excavation, remodeling or repair on any roads, bridges, sewers, streets, alleys, parks,
parkways, buildings, removal of public nuisances or any other improvement made to public or private
property involving labor services; private security, custodial and vehicle towing services; and prevailing
wage and/or truck rental rates when required to perform work for the project or service, when the
anticipated contract value is over $25,000.
Prevailing wage applies to contractors, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, holders of
interests in real property, agents, or other persons regardless of the form of business
entity used, including but not limited to individuals, sole proprietorships and independent
contractors for the specified projects and/or services.
Prevailing wage does not apply to apprentices working on projects and/or services if
registered in the apprenticeship program and/or where the work is performed or
provided pursuant to a volunteer program.
Note: Prevailing wage rate will have the meaning contained in Minnesota Statutes §177.42, Subd. 6, as
determined from time to time by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for the area where the
project is located or where the services are provided. In those instances where the Minnesota
Department of Labor and Industry has not certified and published a prevailing rate of wages and benefits
for a particular work classification, the prevailing wage rate to be paid for such work classification means
the union wage rate and benefit rate in the locality of the Project or Services for such classification over
which the union has jurisdiction.
I certify that applicable prevailing wages will be paid to all covered workers on this
project.
Name of Project:
______________________________________________________________
General Contractor:
___________________________________________________________
Contract Amount:
_____________________________________________________________
Construction Start Date:
________________________________________________________
_____________________________ _____________________________
30
