Methods (open participation)
As part of its participation in The National Community Survey™ (The NCS™), the City of St. Anthony Village conducted a survey
of 2,800 residents. Survey invitations were mailed to randomly selected households and data were collected from August 1, 2022
to September 19, 2022. The results from this main survey effort represent the most robust estimate of your residents’ opinions.
After the above data collection period was underway, a link to an online open participation survey was publicized by the City of
St. Anthony Village. The open participation survey was identical to the probability sample survey with two small updates; it
asked a question to confirm the respondent was a resident and also a question about where they heard about the survey. The
open participation survey was open to all city residents and became available on September 5, 2022. The survey remained open
for two weeks and there were 29 responses.
The open participation survey data were not collected through a random sample and it is unknown who in the community was
aware of the survey; therefore, a level of confidence in the representativeness of the sample cannot be estimated. Due to limited
response, the results were not statistically weighted.
51
