ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 NOVEMBER 22, 2022 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Stille called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />8 <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Stille invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Stille, Councilmembers Jenson, Randle, Walker and Webster. <br />16 <br />17 Absent:None. <br />18 <br />19 Also Present:City Manager Charlie Yunker, Fire Captain Mattie Jaros, City Engineer Justin <br />20 Messner and Fire Chief Mark Sitarz. <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />24 ITEMS. <br />25 <br />26 I.APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 22, 2022 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />27 <br />28 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />29 Council Meeting Agenda of November 22, 2022 as presented. <br />30 <br />31 Motion carried 5-0. <br />32 <br />33 II.PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITION. <br />34 <br />35 Fire Captain Mattie Jaros presented the 2022 Fire Prevention Poster Winners. The theme for this <br />36 year’s contest was “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape”. This year’s winners were: <br />37 <br />38 4th Place Emma DeSouza 5th Grade Wilshire <br />39 3rd Place Bella Klement 5th Grade St. Charles <br />40 2nd Place Connor Gallagher 5th Grade St. Charles <br />41 1st Place Charlie Gallagher 5th Grade St. Charles <br />42 <br />43 Photographs were taken with the Mayor and the Fire Chief. <br />44 <br />45 Last year’s winner Nelle M. went onto the state competition and was the winner. <br />46 <br />47 Captain Jaros announced the 2022 Santa on the Fire Truck will be held December 11, 12, 14, <br />48 2022 starting at 5:30pm each night. Donations for Toys for Tots – new, unwrapped toys, check <br />49 or checks will be accepted. Donations will also be accepted for Nourish 282 – cash or gift cards. <br />5
