Page 22 <br />solid waste and Recycling program. <br />13.2.3.Educational Tags <br />The Contractor shall inform the Customer as to the improper preparation of materials or the <br />addition of unacceptable materials for Collection by providing and distributing educational tags. <br />13.2.4.Educational Tagging Procedure for Unacceptable Materials <br />The Contractor is responsible to educate the Customers as to materials that are prohibited and any <br />unacceptable setout practices for Collection by distributing educational tags and other means. <br />Unacceptable materials shall be left by the Contractor with an educational tag. <br />13.2.5.Customer Education <br />The Contractor shall work with the City to promote waste reduction and other topics to Customers <br />at no additional cost. Customer education efforts may include but are not limited to phone and <br />email communication for the purposes of Customer service, brochures, cart flyers/hangers, cart <br />information packets, signs, videos, and presentations to classes and community groups. <br />The City will work with the Contractor to ensure Recycling educational materials conform to the <br />Hennepin Funding Policy requirements and Ramsey County guidelines. The Contractor shall not <br />mail any Contract-related educational materials to City Customers or customers without prior <br />approval from the City. <br />13.2.6.Provide Industry-Related Information <br />The Contractor shall provide the City industry-related information or educational materials for City <br />publication or distribution, and assist in the development of brochures, flyers, and articles upon the <br />request of the City. <br />13.2.7.Facility Tours <br />The Contractor shall host or coordinate one tour annually during the term of the contract. Tours <br />sites shall be of local Recycling, composting, waste to energy, landfill facilities and/or local end <br />market facilities. The Contractor shall work with the City to select a site and make arrangements for <br />tour attendance for City Customers and City staff at no additional cost to the City. <br />13.2.8.Community Event Education <br />The Contractor shall participate in City-sponsored community events during the term of the <br />Contract, at the request of the City. Participation may include, but is not limited to, staffing <br />information booths, giving presentations, and displaying trucks and equipment. <br />14.LIQUIDATED DAMAGES <br />Contractor agrees, in addition to any other remedies available to the City, that the City can charge <br />liquidated damages to Contractor in the amounts specified below for failure of Contractor to fulfill <br />its obligations, as determined by the City. <br />This Contract requires the Contractor to meet the following performance standards: <br />137
