The applicants are seeking a Conditional Use Permit to establish an a <br />Adult Daycare facility as described above in a portion of an existing commercial shopping <br />center building. The site location is between Highway 88 and Kenzie Terrace. The parcel is <br />approximately 5.5 acres in area, <br />and is occupied by a complex of <br />commercial retail buildings with a <br />variety of retail sales and service <br />uses. <br />The use is consistent with both the <br />Comprehensive Plan’s land use <br />direction, as well as with the intent <br />of the relevant zoning, which would <br />be “C”, Commercial for the site and <br />the surrounding area. <br />As noted in the Project Description <br />and the applicant’s narrative, only <br />insignificant changes are proposed <br />for the building, almost all of which are interior, and which do not alter the existing site <br />conditions.
