City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />April 11, 2023 <br />Page 3 <br />1 Councilmember Webster thanked Chief Sitarz for the overview. She is grateful for the 2 minute <br />2 response time. Chief Sitarz stated they are at 2 minutes 54 seconds for Code 3 calls. <br />3 <br />4 Councilmember Jenson asked Chief Sitarz to pass onto the staff how privileged St. Anthony is to <br />5 have such a great department. The level of training that is provided is outstanding. On the <br />6 number of calls, is there ever more than one call at the same time and Chief Sitarz stated just <br />7 today there were two calls at the same time. At this point the same high level of service can be <br />8 provided. <br />9 <br />10 Councilmember Walker stated he appreciates the hands-on experience the City Council obtained <br />11 to see what fire fighters need to do. It was a once in a lifetime experience. He asked about the <br />12 file of life which is a program. If a person has advanced directives they have the availability to <br />13 make those wishes known to the fire department. This also includes medical history, medications <br />14 used. The file of life form is available at the fire department. He asked about the dollar loss <br />15 increase in 2019 and why it was so high. Chief Sitarz stated it was an arson fire in an apartment <br />16 building. <br />17 <br />18 Mayor Stille stated the training event held in Maplewood proved to him he could not be a fire <br />19 fighter. The Mission is to “Promote a <br />26 high quality of life to those we serve through outstanding city services”. The Vision is “Saint <br />27 Anthony is a small and inclusive Village where all people can live, work, learn, play and thrive”. <br />28 <br />29 The Core Values S.E.R.V.I.C.E. – The St. Anthony Way.
