§ 152.179 PARKING. <br />(A) On-site parking. All property in the city must comply with the following on-site <br />parking requirements. <br />(1) Each parking space must be at least 9 feet by 20 feet and those in the R-4, B, <br />C, and LI Districts must be clearly marked and outlined <br />(2) The total area of a parking lot, including all parking spaces, drive aisles, <br />islands and landscaping must be no less than the required number of parking <br />spaces multiplied by 300 square feet. <br />(3) All vehicles, as defined in §152.008, parked on any lot parcel in an R-l, R-1A, <br />R-2, or R-3 District must be parked on a surface paved with asphalt or bituminous <br />material, concrete, cement, brick, or other paved surface, or, if between the front <br />of the principal structure and the public street, on a driveway located in the front <br />yard. surfaced in accordance with this Section. <br />(4) Any vehicle without a current state registration must be parked kept in a <br />garage or other building. <br />(5) Minimum number of spaces. This section applies to any new development, or <br />redevelopment that alters an existing parking lot’s dimensions or square footage <br />of the buildings served by the subject parking facility: <br />(a) Single-family detached units must have at least 2 fully enclosed <br />parking spaces; <br />(b) Two-family dwellings and townhouses, apartments, and <br />condominiums must have at least 2 parking spaces per unit, at least 1 of <br />which is enclosed. There must be a fire wall with a rating of at least 1 hour <br />meeting fire code requirements separating every 4 parking stalls from <br />living space; Multiple family residential must provide at least 1.2 spaces <br />per bedroom. Housing legally required to be occupied by seniors only <br />may provide a lesser amount based on the services and resident needs of <br />the building as determined by the City Council. <br />(c) Churches, clubs, and restaurants must have a number of parking spaces <br />which is no less than the total designed seating capacity of the structure <br />divided by 2.5, plus 1 parking space for each employee on the largest <br />shift; <br />(d) Convalescent or nursing homes must have at least 1 space for every 5 <br />beds, plus 1 space for every employee on the largest shift; <br />(e) Retirement homes must have at least 1 parking space for every 3 living <br />units; <br />(f) Uses in the C District must have at least 1 parking space for every 300 <br />square feet of gross floor area; <br />(g) Light industrial, manufacturing, testing, and research uses must have 1 <br />space for every 1,000 500 square feet of building floor area; <br />(h) Warehousing, transfer, and storage uses must have at least 1 space per <br />employee on the largest shift plus 1 parking space per company vehicle; <br />1,000 square feet of gross floor area; <br />(i) Animal hospitals must have at least 4 parking spaces for every <br />veterinarian, plus 1 space for every employee on the largest shift; 1,000 <br />square feet of gross floor area;
