<br />ORDINANCE 2023-01 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />HENNEPIN AND RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ST. ANTHONY CITY CODE, BY AMENDING <br />SECTIONS ___________, RELATING TO ____________ <br /> <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY HEREBY ORDAINS: <br /> <br /> <br />Section 1. Section § 152.179 is hereby deleted in its entirety, and amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />§ 152.179 PARKING. <br />(A) On-site parking. All property in the city must comply with the following on-site <br />parking requirements. <br />(1) Each parking space must be at least 9 feet by 20 feet and those in the R-4, B, <br />C, and LI Districts must be clearly marked and outlined <br />(2) The total area of a parking lot, including all parking spaces, drive aisles, <br />islands and landscaping must be no less than the required number of parking <br />spaces multiplied by 300 square feet. <br />(3) All vehicles, as defined in §152.008, parked on any parcel in an R-l, R-1A, R- <br />2, or R-3 District must be parked on a surface paved with asphalt or bituminous <br />material, concrete, cement, brick, or other paved surface, or, if between the front <br />of the principal structure and the public street, on a driveway surfaced in <br />accordance with this Section. <br />(4) Any vehicle without a current state registration must be kept in a garage or <br />other building. <br />(5) Minimum number of spaces. This section applies to any new development, or <br />redevelopment that alters an existing parking lot’s dimensions or square footage <br />of the buildings served by the subject parking facility: <br />(a) Single-family detached units must have at least one (1) fully enclosed <br />parking space; <br />(b) Two-family dwellings and townhouses must have at least 2 parking <br />spaces per unit, at least 1 of which is enclosed. There must be a fire wall <br />meeting fire code requirements separating parking stalls from living space; <br />Multiple family residential must provide at least 1.2 spaces per bedroom. <br />Housing legally required to be occupied by seniors only may provide a <br />lesser amount based on the services and resident needs of the building as <br />determined by the City Council. <br />(c) Churches, clubs, and restaurants must have a number of parking spaces <br />which is no less than the total designed seating capacity of the structure <br />Commented [SG1]: Resident on Silver Lake Road wants <br />one garage.
