City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />June 27, 2023 <br />Page 2 <br />Mayor Stille thanked Commissioner McGuire for her update. <br />Councilmember Jenson thanked Commissioner McGuire and stated he is excited about the <br />4 organics pickup that will be county -wide. The participation in this program will be easy. <br />6 Councilmember Webster thanked Commissioner McGuire for her time this evening. She is <br />7 happy that collaboration is a strong value with the Commission. The Not about you without <br />8 you statement is very powerful. <br />10 <br />Councilmember Walker asked about organics recycling and asked about redundancy. Will St. <br />11 <br />Anthony have two options ? Commissioner McGuire stated the plan for the county -wide <br />12 <br />collection can run in conjunction with what St. Anthony is currently doing. Ramsey County <br />13 <br />owns the processing plant in Newport. <br />14 <br />15 <br />Mayor Stille stated he received a mailing about hazardous materials collection for the month of <br />16 <br />July. Residents can go to the Arden Hills brush site. Resolution 23-033 — Approving the Proposed 2024 Debt Levy and the Phase II Debt <br />39 <br />Levy Program for the City of St. Anthony Village. <br />40 <br />41 <br />Finance Director Shelly Rueckert presented a power point summarizing the 2024 Debt Levy. She <br />42 <br />noted it is a common practice for local governments to use tax exempt bond financing to provide <br />43 <br />funds for major projects such as Street and Utility Reconstruction; Mill and Overlay of <br />44 <br />Reconstructed Streets; Park Improvements, Trails and Sidewalks; Building Improvements or <br />45 <br />Replacement; and Major Equipment Purchases — Fire Trucks. Street Improvements are the main <br />
