City of St. Anthony <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Minutes <br />July 25, 2023 <br />Present: <br />Mayor & Council: <br />Randy Stille, Mayor, Bernard Walker, Jan Jenson, Thomas Randle, Councilmembers <br />Absent: <br />Wendy Webster, Councilmember <br />Staff: <br />Charlie Yunker, City Manager, Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Call to Order: <br />Mayor Stille called the Work Session to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />Brew Pub Licensing: <br />City Planner Grittman introduced the item by reviewing the steps the City has taken on this topic to <br />date, and reviewed the four proposed categories of establishments, and the distinctions between them. <br />Mayor Stille facilitated the Council discussion by focusing on each category individually for questions or <br />concerns around each specific type of establishment. Overall, the Council had to major concerns on <br />allowing any of the types of establishments to operate. Council would like continued input from the <br />City’s Liquor Operations Manager as the process to formalize these proceeds. <br />Food Trucks: <br />City Planner Grittman again introduced the item with a review of past discussion and work done on the <br />draft to date. Council had no major concerns but asked staff to further research the distance a food <br />truck should be away from established restaurants to avoid unfair competition. Staff will do so, and <br />input from the Planning Commission will take place at one of their future meetings. <br />Future Work Sessions: <br />Next Work Session will be held on August 8th, 2023, at 5:45pm in the Council Chambers. <br />Adjournment: <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:49 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted by Charlie Yunker, City Manager.
